Class 10B: Swimming Pools and Spas

As an example, the types of documents that you will be asked for on our Information Request, but not limited to are:

  • Site plan.
  • Prefabricated swimming pools and spas   – if the swimming pool or spa  is purchased from a supplier or store in a prefabricated kit form (e.g. above-ground pools, fibreglass pools), you should be supplied with the appropriate manufacturer’s/engineer’s drawings and a Form 15 Design Certificate.
  • Individually designed swimming pools and spas  that are to be built specifically to your requirements, will require structural plans and a Form 15 Design Certificate.
  • Site specific fencing details e.g. location of fence and type of fence).
  • Filtration, pump, chlorinator details.

Class 10B: Retaining Walls

As an example, the types of documents that you will be asked for on our Information Request, but not limited to are:

  • Site plan.
  • RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Qld) Engineer’s structural plans to show footing and retaining wall design sizes and relevant reinforcement design.  Structural deign to show all structural members and material type and Form 15 Design Certificate.
  • Earth works plans (if applicable)

Class 10A: Sheds, Garages, Carports, Shade Sails, Gazebos, Bali Huts, Patios or similar

As an example, the types of documents that you will be asked for on our Information Request, but not limited to are:

  • Site plan.
  • Prefabricated structures  – if the steel frame shed, patio etc is purchased from a supplier or hardware store in a prefabricated kit form, you should be supplied with the appropriate engineer certified drawings and a Form 15 Design Certificate.
  • Individually designed structures – that are to be built specifically to your requirements, then structural plans will be required and also be designed for the appropriate wind classification for the site.
  • RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Qld) Engineer’s structural plans e.g. footing and slab design, framing, bracing, tie-down, truss layout  including soil report, if applicable.

Class 1A: New Dwellings, Extensions to Dwellings, Garage Conversion to Habitable Room

As an example, the types of documents that you will be asked for on our Information Request are, but not limited to:

  • Site plan.
  • Structural plans and specifications.
  • RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Qld) Engineer’s structural plans e.g. footing and slab design, framing, bracing, tie-down, truss layout  including soil report, if applicable and Form 15 Design Certificate.
  • Energy efficiency report.
